Microbore Cylinders – M Series
M series microbore cylinders are designed in accordance with ISO-6432 allowing complete interchangeability with other manufactures cylinders which are made to the same standards.
High Speed Design
The cylinders incorporate unique mechanical buffer seals, which are designed to absorb energy but ensure seal over- compression is avoided. This feature enables higher operational speeds and enhances the life of the cylinder. Unlike the majority of our competitors the inlet ports have full bore access for rapid acceleration, without causing catastrophic failure and allowing low noise operation. Conventional cylinders incorporate standard magnets for end of stroke sensing but at high speeds these are susceptible to fatigue due to the brittle nature of magnets. M series microbore cylinders are equipped with plastoferrite magnetic rings, which are flexible and ideal for high speed operation.
High Efficiency Adjustable
Air Cushioning M150 series microbore cylinders incorporate floating cushion seals which provide bubble-tight sealing characteristics even under side load conditions. This feature ensures the maximum amount of air is captured to allow accurate end-of-stroke deceleration.
Low Operating Noise Levels
Reduced noise levels (lower than 50 dB) are achieved due to several design features. Firstly, synthetic rubber shock absorbers are fitted in each end cap to avoid mechanical stress and reduce machinery noise. Low friction seals and technopolymer wear rings, further reduce noise levels.
The piston and cushion seals are made from a wear-resistant nitrile rubber compound suitable for applications with or without lubrication. The double lip seal design automatically self-compensates against wear.
