We recently completed an exciting refurbishment of the TecnAir Australia premises to support our continued growth and evolving business needs. The site over at Dandenong, Victoria, originally consisted of a single-storey office, workshop, and store. However, as the size and scope of our projects continued to expand, space quickly became a constraint, and so we faced a choice: move to a new facility or reinvest in our existing site.
Relocating would have meant finding a new location, running two sites in parallel for several months, and eventually selling the existing building. So, instead, we chose to stay and refurbish our current space, minimising disruption while gaining the extra space we need to take TecnAir Australia to the next level.
A key part of the upgrade was the installation of an automated vertical storage system, which required the new office to be two stories high. This opened up the opportunity to expand our office space and create a much larger, more functional conference room.
Construction began in early 2024 with the demolition of the old office. During the build, the team operated from temporary mobile offices on-site. While the conditions weren’t ideal, the team adapted brilliantly and kept everything running smoothly. After more than six months, we were thrilled to move into the brand-new building in late 2024.
With the office complete, we turned to redeveloping the workshop. The improved layout now includes a clean assembly room and a purpose-built packaging area, both designed to improve efficiency and maintain the high standards that define TecnAir.
This new facility marks an exciting step forward for TecnAir Australia, creating a modern working environment and providing the space and infrastructure needed to support larger automation projects and drive future innovation.
